February is African American History Month

Our schools celebrate African American History Month in February with classroom and school-wide events.  This year, the School Board’s African American History Month Resolution included a special recognition to honor the many contributions made by African American women in shaping American culture and history and the role of African American women in shaping Berkeley’s own history.

Here is a listing (PDF) of just some of the happenings in this month of February where our students will learn about and celebrate African American History.
