Fun Afternoon at Annual Classified Staff Recognition

For many employees in the Berkeley Unified School District, the Wednesday work day on May 17 ended at the Dining Commons of King Middle School with lots of smiles and appreciation. A widely anticipated annual event, the Classified Staff Recognition Celebration honors school district employees who may not be as visible as teachers but who play an equally valuable role in providing a quality education for our students. Special recognition and pins were accorded those who’ve reached milestones of service of 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years.

Here’s a list of the honorees by years of service. Four employees reached the 25 and 30 year marks, and together all those honored represented 990 years of service to Berkeley’s students and families.
