Award-winning BHS Alum Daveed Diggs Wows Students, Sets Fundraising Record

Daveed Diggs – Tony Award-winning star of the musical “Hamilton” and Berkeley High alum – was a riveting keynote speaker for the Berkeley High School Development Group.

Diggs, who graduated from BHS in 2000, appeared at the BHS Development Group’s annual Business Partners & Friends Luncheon at Revival Bar+Kitchen on April 17. The fundraiser brought in more than $50,000, a record for the event.

Afterward, Diggs charmed Berkeley High students in an appearance at the Community Theater, where he encouraged the students to be true to themselves, practice persistence and try to do their best in what they love.
