Thursday, March 22nd from 6:30 – 8 p.m. in the Jefferson School Multi-purpose Room (entrance located on Rose Street side)
With enrollment at elementary grades growing significantly over the past five years, and a demographic study showing it will continue to increase, classrooms must be created for a new generation of students.
Following a multi-year planning process that included regular meetings of the Site Construction Committee, the Board of Education approved the conceptual design of the Jefferson Elementary School Expansion and Modernization Project, to add classroom space and to modernize the school. Measure I, approved in 2010 by an overwhelming number of Berkeley voters, includes funding for this project.
