School districts across California are beginning the development of the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) now required for state education funding. As part of the process to develop a plan that best serves the students of Berkeley Unified School District, our community is being engaged through a (new) Parent Advisory Committee, District English Learning (Parent) Advisory Committee, various standing committees (ex. Superintendent’s Budget Advisory Committee, BSEP Planning & Oversight, PTA Council), and public forums in order to provide parents and community members the opportunity to consult, review, and comment on Berkeley’s LCAP as it is being developed.
