April 26 Emergency Prep Fair Program of Events
Theme: Protect Kids and Pets!
On April 26, at North Berkeley BART Station, the City of Berkeley Emergency Services will be hosting an Emergency Preparedness Fair from 10am to 2pm. In addition to learning how to better prepare for disaster at home, families will be able to see what our district has done to prepare our schools in the case of an emergency or disaster.
This event is free and free parking will be available, but families are also encouraged to use BART.
Berkeley Fire Emergency Services is encouraging school participation in a fun way! Families are encouraged to drop by the registration booth and note the school that they represent. The three Berkeley schools that have the highest participation will be awarded one of three exciting emergency preparedness gadgets to go into their emergency container. The prizes will be presented to the winning principals by the Berkeley Fire Department at a future school board meeting, and the Fire Department will do the same recognition at a school assembly for the students.
