Willard Middle School has developed a reputation as a school that creatively explores math through video production, games and other imaginative methods. This year’s Annual Math Night at Willard was an opportunity for parents and students to explore math through creativity together. The large attendance was a good sign that the Willard community is excited about the power of their creative math pursuits. Following a delicious dinner prepared by Willard’s Growing Leaders class, parents and students rotated through seven mathematical investigations, looking at probability, dimension, games, geometry, whodunnit’s, Willard math history, and design.
As you will see in the photos, students and parents are equally engaged, and determined to solve each challenge.
