This year Thousand Oaks’ fifth grade play is about Blackberry Creek and the history of Berkeley creeks. Drama teacher Jennifer Wendel collaborated with many people to create the original play. Miya, who teaches T.O. students about their creek, and known Berkeley historian Richard Schwartz, were significant contributors. Song and dance provide students with a fun and exciting way to learn about the history of Berkeley creeks. Students from Jefferson and Oxford attended this show, one of three performances by the T.O. students.
