BUSD students in grades 2-12 recently received information about the César Chávez & Dolores Huerta Commemoration Contest currently underway.

The new deadline to receive submissions is 4 p.m. Monday, April 17th, 2017.
A panel comprised of BUSD, César Chávez & Dolores Huerta Commemoration Committee, City of Berkeley and community representatives will review the submissions and choose five winners in each of the three categories: essays, poetry-spoken word and visual art.
BUSD will announce the winners on April 20th, 2017.
Winners (accompanied by a parent/guardian) will be honored at a small ceremony exhibiting student work on April 27th from 4 to 5:30 in the BUSD Board Room – 1231 Addison St. Berkeley, CA 94702. (Note: date change from April 26th)
