Kids growing up in earthquake country need a disaster-prepared household. Pet owners need to know how to keep pets safe in a disaster. At this FREE community-wide event, we invite people at all levels of preparedness to take steps towards emergency readiness for their whole family.
You’ll find family-friendly activities, tips and information, on-site training, and interactive demonstrations of safety resources available to you in our community. There will be a showcase of emergency vehicles, prizes, kids activities, and more.

This “Know Your Rights Forum and Free Legal Consultation” with immigration lawyers is being offered at LeConte School during the Emergency Prep Fair as a special resource for immigrant families and is sponsored by the East Bay Community Law Center & East Bay Sanctuary Covenant.
March 18th Immigrant Rights Workshop English/Spanish
Pillowcase Project, 12-1pm: Hands-on emergency prep activity designed for youth ages 8-11
- The Pillowcase Project is a FREE interactive preparedness program designed for youth ages 8 to 11. It is presented by the American Red Cross and will be at our 3/18 Emergency Preparedness Fair. Students learn the best ways to stay safe, how to handle stressful situations, and what tools they can use at home to prepare for emergencies. Students will decorate and personalize their own pillowcases, which serve as containers for a personal emergency supplies kit, and are encouraged to share what they’ve learned with friends and family.

Kids Bike Rodeo, 12-2pm.
- Help kids learn safe cycling at the Kids Bike Rodeo. Presented by Bike East Bay and Cycles of Change, this event includes a bike safety course, skills-building, and walking and bicycling safety instruction. Bikes and helmets will be provided, or bring your own and receive a Free bike check.
