As a district that celebrates multilingualism and cultivates bilingualism, we recognize the additional challenge presented to our students learning English as a second language. This coming Thursday is a special occasion for our students identified as English Language Learners who have met the criteria and have demonstrated English proficiency in all academic areas.
Our annual Reclassification Ceremony will be held this year on April 27, 7:00 – 8:30 pm, in the new Longfellow Cafeteria (in the 1500 block of Ward Street, across the street from Longfellow).
This culminating event is a special moment for students and their families, as well as for our teachers and staff, to celebrate each student’s accomplishment.
