The Berkeley High campus was in full bloom with art and performances in the week before spring break.
Described as the “the First Annual BHS Visual and Performing Arts Showcase,” the rich palette of events from March 24 to March 31 included art exhibitions in multiple buildings, Afro Haitian and other dance class performances, music, film, stage combat by drama students, open studios in classrooms and more.
“The talented students and arts teachers have put together a week of events to showcase the incredible creativity of our BHS students, across ALL art forms,” said Art Department Chair Kimberley D’Adamo, who served as showcase impresario.
Special highlights included the annual BUSD music showcase and a reception for the Community Theater artworks on Thursday night before spring break.
