The event, previously known at Grandparents Day, has become one of the most enthusiastically anticipated at the school.
As one teacher put it, Caring Elders Day “is probably the sweetest day of the Longfellow year.”
The school thanks the Berkeley Public Schools Fund and the following community donors: Mo’Joe Cafe, Dream Fluff Donuts, Cheeseboard, Sweet Adeline Bakeshop, Nabolom Bakery, Semifreddi’s and Acme Bread Co.
