The wide pedestrian/bicycle pathway between the West Campus pool and the West Campus gym will be closed temporarily due to construction and facility upgrades at the adjacent Berkeley Unified School District building.
The block-long pathway, known at Lehua Way, extends one block from Browning Street on the east to Curtis Street on the West.
BUSD will host a community meeting about the project on Thursday, Dec. 20, from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m., in Room 126 at the District Administration building at 2020 Bonar Street.
The BUSD Facilities Division anticipates that the closure will take place immediately after the December 20 meeting and last 4-5 weeks, with the understanding that the closure schedule could be adjusted due to weather.
