The Colored Museum, written by George C. Wolfe, and co-directed by BHS drama teacher, Jordan Winer and BHS students Tanaka Dunbar-Ngwara and Kira Norwood, opens this Friday at 7pm, with additional performances Dec. 15, 21, and 22, at 7pm.
The Saturday, Dec. 15 performance begins with a Kwanzaa Dinner at 6pm in honor of Richard Davies and the 50th Anniversary of the Berkeley High School African American Studies Department.
(A dress rehearsal is being held Thursday, Dec. 13 at 7pm.)

The Colored Museum is a farcical satire about serious issues, and in particular, African American history in the United States, as well as the tropes and stereotypes of the Black experience. Drama teacher and co-director Jordan Winer describes the play as “a scathing review, but very funny and uplifting too.”
Students taking carpentry and stagecraft have put an amazing set together. Come on out and support the performing arts at Berkeley High School.
