As the BUSD community is aware, Dr. Donald Evans will be retiring this summer, after six years of service to the District and more than three decades of service as a public school teacher, administrator, and superintendent.
The Board is now beginning the process of conducting a local and national search for the next superintendent of our District. The first step is for the Board to select a search firm within the next two weeks. To build on our successes, address our challenges, and carry the work of the District forward, we look to a robust process with opportunities for community input so that we have an outstanding superintendent ready for the new school year.
As soon as we have further details to share about the search process, as well as specific opportunities for community engagement, we will communicate widely and post information on the BUSD website.
