Mark your calendars: BUSD’s annual School and District Committee Orientation and Workshop event will take place from 5:20 – 8:00pm on Thursday, October 17, at Longfellow Middle School. Members of all school and district committees are invited to this evening for learning and support through workshops, support material distribution, and full-committee meetings. If you are already a part of, or considering joining, groups like the School Site Council (SSC), Parent Advisory Committee (PAC), District English Language Advisory Committee (DELAC), BSEP P&O, PTA, PCAD, and all other committees, this event is for you! Dinner and child care will be provided.
Not sure what committee might be the best fit for you? Take a look at our “We Need You!” flyer for information about some of the larger groups in BUSD. The time to volunteer or nominate yourself is in the first month of school, so please contact your Principal right away for instructions on how to sign up. We will distribute the Committee Orientation Agenda and RSVP forms to Principals and committee leaders to share once elections have concluded at the end of September.
