Chromebooks are available for checkout for students who need a home device for schoolwork or research. With Chromebooks, students can enjoy e-books and audiobooks at home. Find more information about online reading resources here.
Students who don’t have a dedicated device of their own at home may check out a Chromebook at no cost from their school library and keep it at home for the entire school year. These Chromebooks offer a touchscreen and can be used in a tablet mode for a convenient e-reading experience. It’s easy to check out a free BUSD Chromebook for your child:
- Print out, complete, and sign this form. (Forms are also available from staff at every school library.)
- Have your child bring the form to their school library.

Estimada Comunidad en BUSD,
Los Chromebooks están disponibles para los estudiantes que necesiten un dispositivo en el hogar para el trabajo escolar o la investigación. Con los Chromebooks, los estudiantes pueden disfrutar e-books y audio libros en el hogar. Encuentre más información acerca de recursos de lectura en línea aquí.
Los estudiantes que no tienen un dispositivo propio en su hogar pueden pedir prestado un Chromebook sin costo en la biblioteca de su escuela y mantenerlo en casa durante todo el año escolar. Estos Chromebooks ofrecen una pantalla táctil y pueden utilizarse en modo tableta para disfrutar de una cómoda experiencia de lectura electrónica. Es fácil el pedir prestado gratuitamente un Chromebook de BUSD para su hijo:
- Imprima, complete, y firme este formulario. (Los formularios se encuentran también disponibles con el personal en cada biblioteca escolar).
- Haga que su hijo lleve el formulario a la biblioteca de su escuela.
