Dear BUSD Community,
BUSD observes March 21 to April 10 as the Cesar Chavez & Dolores Huerta Commemorative Period in celebration of the rich histories of the Chicano, Chicana, Chicanx, Filipina, Filipino, Filipinx, and the Latina, Latino, Latinx communities in our schools. As such, the district invites the BUSD community to participate in “Solidarity Across Generations – Fields of Unity,” an event held in partnership with various community organizations on April 10, and a student essay and art contest, with submissions due on April 4.

Middle school, high school, and college students can participate in an essay and art competition. Submit using the links below.

Estimada Comunidad en BUSD:
BUSD observa el 21 de marzo al 10 de abril como el Período Conmemorativo de César Chávez, Dolores Huerta, en celebración de las valiosas historias de las comunidades Chicano, Chicana, Chicanx, Filipina, Filipino, Filipinx, y Latina, Latino, Latinx en nuestras escuelas. De manera que el distrito invita a la comunidad de BUSD a participar en “Solidaridad a Través de las Generaciones – Campos de Unidad (Solidarity Across Generations – Fields of Unity)”, un evento que se celebrará en colaboración con varias organizaciones comunitarias el 10 de abril, y en un concurso de ensayo y arte para estudiantes, cuya fecha límite de presentación es el 4 de abril.
