The modernization project at Emerson Elementary School is set to address the much-needed improvements to our Campus. Key updates include the renovation of the kitchen and food service area, to enhance the experience for students, as well as an upgrade to the administrative space. With this project, we will be improving the accessibility to our existing restrooms and will introduce a few all-gender restrooms. A new covered breezeway is being designed, accommodating outdoor lunches and increasing opportunities for outdoor learning experiences. There are also planned improvements for the interior and exterior of the school.
The campus infrastructure will be updated, improving the energy efficiency of the site, boosting the overall comfort for both students and staff. This update will encompass the installation of new heating and cooling equipment, energy-saving windows and enhanced lighting fixtures.
The school yard will also receive improvements, including the resurfacing and painting of the playground area, enhanced landscaping, and casual seating areas for students.
Current information regarding the project budget can be found here.
