The Berkeley School Board meets approximately twice per month, on Wednesday evenings. All Board meeting are open to the public and we encourage the community to attend.

The January 7, 2026 Regular School Board Meetings will be Hybrid.
The Wednesday January 7, 2025 regular and special meetings of the Berkeley Unified School District Board of Education will be a hybrid meeting. Anyone wishing to participate in public comment can do so in person at 1231 Addison Street, Berkeley, CA 94702 or via Zoom Webinar at the link below.

Unless otherwise noted, Open Session begins at 7pm. The Board will meet in Closed Session beforehand to discuss confidential matters as permitted by the Brown Act, including but not limited to student and/or employee discipline, or to consult with the District’s legal counsel as appropriate. State law strictly regulates what matters can be addressed in Closed Session. Almost all of the Board’s business is conducted in open session.
