Elementary
In the elementary years, students embark on their social studies education by exploring their immediate surroundings and understanding their place within larger historical and social contexts. The curriculum aims to build foundational knowledge in history, geography, economics, and civics. Students begin by learning about their community, family, and local history, emphasizing significant holidays, symbols, and historical figures. As they progress, they delve into the history and geography of California and the United States, exploring the diverse cultural heritage of their state and country while learning basic economic principles.
